"I suppose my story started about six or seven years ago when I started at a local college. I’d lost my way a bit, and I was at a loose end. Going to college opened up my interest in advertising and marketing, and after graduating with a Distinction grade, I went onto student at De Montfort University, graduating there in 2015 with a 2:1.
What excites me about the prospect of working at Michael Wheat is the emotive, personable nature of the subject-matter. I was brought up watching home makeover programmes like 60 Minute Makeover, Ground Force and, more recently, DIY SOS and Homes Under the Hammer. And it is so obvious that the way somebody’s garden is maintained is so personal and important to them – people might sit in a garden and enjoy a glass of wine; or have a “break” from their busy lives (perhaps after the kids have gone to bed); or it might even be a sensory experiences for somebody living with a disability.
At Michael Wheat, I am the port of call for everything social media with the Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and everything else you could think of sitting in the palm of my hand – sometimes even literally! My mantra, I suppose, is to ensure that everything that we under the “Michael Wheat” brand post publicly is informative, insightful and fun (after all, we work hard, but we play harder!) If you have any questions about marketing, advertising or promotion, please get in contact with me at email@example.com."
